Warner Home Video has officially released the cover art for the upcoming Widescreen and Special Edition Superman Returns US R1 DVD. Note that a release date is still unknown but may be November 28th.
"The film will be available to own in single ($28.98) and double-disc ($34.99). The release date has yet to be confirmed I'm afraid, but we'll bring you that shortly. What we are able to confirm is that each disc will carry a 2.40:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks. As far as we know, the single-disc will be featureless, whereas the two-disc edition will include deleted scenes, along with Requiem for Krypton: Making Superman Returns - a comprehensive 3-hour documentary that takes you behind the scenes onto the set of Superman Returns."BBFC has rated the 15 minutes worth of deleted scenes.

I really don't like the artwork. It's such a beautiful film, visually, and then they're going to put those tacky covers on it. It just ruins the whole package.
They should really consider using images from the posters, i.e. the poster of Superman "floating" above earth or the poster of Superman holding Lois in his arms.
I think that they look great! I can't wait until it comes out! I may buy it several times when it does! I LOVED THE MOVIE!!
hey Iris
just to let you know Brandon took part in a charity auction for the Women's Cancer Programs of the Entertainment Industry Foundation by decorating a jean pocket to be auction of. There's a picture in the gallery in the link below...

i totally agree with alicia...the cover artwork is lame! they look like something a kid would do at home on his computer. they really should use the one of him floating over the earth or even just the crest, like the original superman movie did (without the cheeseball rainbow). i have a hard time believing these are the approved covers. will i buy the 2 disc set anyway? oh hell yeah!
