Brandon to Walk for Healthiest State Initiative

Iowa, Brandon's home state, is calling on its constituents to participate in its Healthiest State Initiative program, seeking to make itself the healthiest state in the US by 2016.

To kickoff the plan, Iowans are asked to stop what they're doing at noon on October 7 and simply walk 1 kilometer to symbolize the launch of the initiative.

Not an Iowan? No problem! You can launch your own healthy initiative by walking 1 kilometer (or more) that day too!

My work is participating in the walk this Friday! We also grouped up and are having our own 'biggest loser' contest so to speak! Going to make the holiday season tough thats for sure!! Haha (Tipton, Ia)
