Zack Snyder Directing "Superman"

The Hollywood Reporter has just announced that "300" and "Watchmen" director Zack Snyder is set to direct WB's new Superman film.

Goyer is writing the script, which is rumoured to have, like “Superman Returns,” a Richard Donner Superman connection. In the movie’s case, it’s a villain connection: General Zod.

What does this mean for those wanting Brandon Routh back? If THR is correct in the Donner Superman connection with Zod, perhaps the studio would be open for another connection: Brandon Routh's Christopher Reeve's Superman homage.
