Brandon on the SR Game

Friday, November 17, 2006 by Iris with 2 comments
IGN spoke with Brandon about the November 22nd release of Superman Returns: The Video Game and much more.
Brandon Routh: Be open and aware and watch the whole screen. Being open and aware is what Superman has to be; hearing all of the events of the world and knowing which ones are the most important and going to it. In the game, there are a lot of icons telling you where to go and what needs to be taken care of. And so you kind of have to keep track of a few things that are happening at once and being a good judge of what meteor you have to go destroy first before it takes down Metropolis's health. Don't get stuck on one thing.

Brandon Suits Up Again

Thursday, November 16, 2006 by Iris with 0 comments
IESB interviewed Brandon on the red carpet about what villain we might see in the sequel: Brainiac.

Brandon also spoke with E! Online earlier tonight at the release party for the Superman Returns DVD and Video Game about donning the super-suit for a second time.
"I'm certainly excited to do another one. I don't think we'll start for awhile since we have a 2009 release, but I'm excited about the potential."

"They're all great guys and they do a lot of good things, but let's be honest with ourselves," Routh humbly surmised. "Superman is the world's greatest protector. So unless Batman's got some kryptonite in his utility belt, or Spider Man's got kryptonite in his webs, there's pretty much no stopping Superman."
BlueTights.net attended the event. Check out a picture of Brandon here.

Brandon on the Super-Sequel

Friday, November 03, 2006 by Iris with 1 comments
Brandon talked to RottenTomatoes about his thoughts on a more action-packed sequel to Superman Returns.
"Bryan [Singer] said at Comic-Con they were going to add some more fighting elements and stuff like that," said Routh. "That might be kind of interesting to throw some punches or throw something, I don't know, a little more active."

Routh is going to have to hit the gym again to get back into fighting shape, but not just yet. "I think I've got a while. We probably won't start for another at least six months. They've got to get things written so I'm still in the gym. I still work out a little bit but certainly not as much as I had been."

Simply as a fan, Routh is eager to get that first draft. "I'm extremely excited, even though I don't know what the story's going to be, to find out what the story's going to be and excited for them, Bryan, Dan [Harris] and Mike [Dougherty] to go start writing and continue the story. I'm excited to see what happens, where the characters are going to go."
